Mobile application “Physicist around the corner”

The application for iOS and Android works offline and without registration. It does not transmit to the developer or server the selected class, lesson goal, answers, errors, XP, lesson series, favorites, notes and settings: this data is stored only on the device. A web account with login via email, Google or VK ID relates only to the site and is not synchronized with the application.

The app has no advertising, shopping, analytics, cross-application tracking, communication between users, or remote error reporting. The application does not ask for precise geolocation, contacts, photos or payment information. Educational materials are available without the Internet.

At the user's request, the application requests system permission for notifications and creates reminders locally on the device; The developer server does not send push notifications. The “Share” system menu opens only after the user clicks: he himself selects the recipient and the service, which then processes the transmitted according to its own rules.

Local data is stored until reset to “Profile” → “Reset progress on this device” or deleting the application. Resetting also cancels reminders; Data cannot be restored in the application. The possibility of backup using the operating system depends on the device settings. If the user opens a link to the site, the remaining sections of this policy apply to the operation of the site.

What data is processed on the site

During normal browsing, the server receives the technical data of the request: IP address, date and time, page address, browser and device information. Without registration, educational progress is stored only in the user's browser.

When an account is created, display name, email, password hash, email confirmation and legal document acceptance information, session data, selected class, study group membership, responses, results, and learning progress are processed. The password is not stored in clear text.

If the user chooses to log in via Google or VK ID, the site receives an account ID, name, email and, if transferred, an avatar from the selected service. To connect the login method and maintain authorization, tokens issued by the provider can be stored. The site does not receive a password from Google or VK ID. The provider processes login data according to its own rules; Linking to an existing site account is performed only after the user has logged in.

Goals and reasons

The data is needed to register and protect your account, synchronize progress, restore access, operate training groups, prevent abuse, support users and enforce the User Agreement. Processing is carried out for the conclusion and execution of an agreement, with the separate consent of the user and in cases provided for by law.

The data is not used for advertising, sales, scoring or public publication.

Cookies and local storage

The site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Without logging in, the site itself does not set cookies. After logging in, only the necessary protected session cookies are applied: without them, the account does not work. When the firewall is triggered, Cloudflare may set the necessary browser verification cookie. Guest progress uses the browser's local storage; this data does not go to the server before logging in. The mobile application does not use site cookies.

Cloudflare can provide traffic delivery and security. The connected Cloudflare Web Analytics performance counter does not write cookies or read local storage. Therefore, a separate pop-up request for optional cookies is not currently shown. If optional analytics or advertising appears, it will be disabled until the user selects it individually.

Storage and transfer

Accounts and educational progress are stored in the main database and encrypted backup copies. Infrastructure provider: infrastructure provider selected by the operator.

Cloudflare can be used to deliver and protect the site, and a customized email provider can be used for business emails. Cross-border transfer status: not confirmed. The transfer is carried out only to the extent necessary on the basis of an agreement with the processor and after fulfilling the mandatory legal requirements.

If a student enters a study group code themselves, the teacher assigned to that group has access to the student's name, email, class, and course statistics. This data is not visible to other students and the public part of the site. You can leave the group yourself in your account.

Deadlines and removal

Web account data is stored while the account is active. The user can delete it in site account settings or send a request to the operator at [email protected]. Unless otherwise required by law, a work record will be deleted within 30 days. From isolated backups, data disappears on a rotation cycle no later than 93 days; such copies are not used for normal work. The mobile application does not have an account or a server copy of progress; local data is deleted by the user on the device.

User rights and protection

The user has the right to request information about processing, clarification, blocking or deletion of data, withdraw consent and appeal to Roskomnadzor or the court. To request, write from your account address to [email protected].

Minors

Registration on the site is intended for users over 14 years of age. A user under 18 years of age must obtain the permission of a parent, adoptive parent or guardian. Children under 14 years of age can use the open directory without an account and the mobile application without registration. We deliberately do not request date of birth and documents so as not to collect unnecessary data.
