Basic Concepts
Ohm
One ohm is the resistance of the section in which a voltage of one volt creates a current of one ampere.
The unit relates the readings of the ammeter and voltmeter through Ohm's law.
Ohm's law for a site
The current strength in a section is directly proportional to the voltage and inversely proportional to the resistance.
The current versus voltage graph for an ohmic conductor is straight if the temperature does not change.
Electrical resistance
A physical quantity characterizing the resistance of a conductor to the ordered movement of charges.
At constant temperature, greater resistance produces less current at the same voltage.
